Travel | Torri degli Asinelli e Garisenda | Bologna, Italy

If you think the Leaning Tower of Pisa is the tallest leaning tower in Italy, then you would be mistaken. That honour goes to Bologna's towers - the Asinelli and Garisenda Towers in Piazza di Porta Ravegnana which is where this week's Throwback Thursday takes us back to.

Beauty | Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick | [Shade 16]

A British make up brand like Rimmel is only going to have a collaboration with something quintessentially British and that came in the form of Kate Moss, the supermodel that has graced magazine covers and the catwalk. Kate Moss and Rimmel have paired together for some time now and this lipstick is one from the Kate Moss range with the Rimmel make up brand. Bring on Shade #16...

Food | Easter Figollis | Malta

Had I not stayed at a friend's place when I visited Malta, I don't think I would have experienced the art of making figolli - the Maltese traditional Easter treat they make stuffed with marzipan in different shapes. Whether you call them cakes, cookies or simply sweet treats, they are an amazing delight to make and an even better delight to eat!

Beauty | Barry M Matte Nail Paint (Malibu)

Barry M is a brilliant drug store/high street beauty brand that can be both be found in Boots and Superdrug, and is probably one of the most colourful stalls about thanks to its nail polishes coming in every colour under the sun. I'm pretty sure my first nail polish was a Barry M item nail paint, and my latest nail purchase is none other than from its latest release, the Matte Nail Paint Collection line.

Food: The Diner, Spitafields

After having our nails tended to at MW Nails in Spitafields and walking around the market, my friends and I were feeling pretty hungry and decided to pop into The Diner for a bite to eat. If you've never been to The Diner, there are a few of them located around London including Camden, Covent Garden Islington, Soho, Shoreditch, Gloucester Road as well as the Spitafields branch we headed to. It is an American style bar/diner serving everything from pancakes to burgers so of course we headed inside to fill our rumbly tummies.

Travel | Azure Window, Gozo | Malta

This week's Throwback Thursday takes us to the Azure Window in Malta, an attraction spot both for tourists and Maltese alike because of its natural beauty. It is a natural arch that has been formed due to the limestone structure being weathered away leaving behind an arch-like structure, and because of the semi-arid conditions that Malta has, there is nearly always a blue sea and sky leading to it being called "The Azure Window". It has also reached fame more recently when it was featured in films such as The Count of Monte Cristo (2002), The Odyssey (1997) and Clash of the Titans (1981).

Beauty: MW Nails Spa Pedicure - The aeroplane themed nail salon

There is a relatively new nail salon that has opened up in Spitafields near Liverpool Street station in London that is like none other. For starters, it's aeroplane themed. For seconds, it was a fantastic first time spa pedicure experience I have had. So when my friend messaged me about it, and the weather was beckoning me to wear open toed sandals, 50% deposit and a week later, we found ourselves at MW Nails ready for our in flight treatment.

The World Cup BenePub

As if my blog isn't pink enough, here's a post that will add oomphs of pinkness into the blogosphere. Today, I'm talking about none other than Benefit Cosmetics' very own pub they've opened up in London town so naturally I had to pay a visit to the pub... Just expect a lot of pink in this post!
Benefit Cosmetics is a well known make up brand and they've done what no other make up brand has done (or at least that's what I think) - they've taken over the second floor of a British pub, put their own spin on it and added their make up to the mix. The end result? Gabbi's Head was born, open between 13th June and 13th July and is simply a perfect girly place for all female football fans to watch the World Cup 2014.

Food | Chinese Bakery Goodies

When it comes to food, the Chinese simply excel. But when it comes to desserts, it's always a bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong - there are some Chinese desserts I could happily nom on like mango pudding and sago pudding, but more times than not, after eating a hearty meal out in a Chinese restaurant, I usually am faced with a plate of oranges. While I appreciate that it is healthy, count towards one of my five a day and cleanses the palate, there are some times where I just rather have a sundae than an orange. So to make up for it, every time I find myself in Chinatown, I cannot help myself but visit a Chinese bakery and stock up on some sweet desserts instead. Here are my pick of the bunch.

Travel | Mosta Dome | Malta

Mosta Dome is a Roman Catholic Church and as the name suggests, is located within the Mosta province of Malta. Why am I blogging about a church you ask? Well this is no normal church. This church houses the 3rd/4th (this is varied all over the web so not entirely sure myself but it definitely ranks within the top 5!) largest unsupported dome in Europe, and coming confidently within the top 10 at number 9 when it comes to world rankings. So what other place to focus on during this week's Throwback Thursday?

Food: Wong Kei aka London's rudest restaurant

 "Upstairs!"
"Downstairs!"
If the above doesn't mean anything to you, then you have not yet had the Wong Kei experience in London's Chinatown. I consider it Chinatown's most infamous restaurant and I have realised the only time I actually eat at the restaurant is with my non-Chinese friends. It's widely known that you can judge on how good a Chinese restaurant is based on how many Chinese people eat at the restaurant and a quick glance through the window will give you a good indication. Maybe it is the super cheap prices or the infamous service from the waiting staff but it is one restaurant I find myself eating at time after time.
