Beauty | Birchbox October 2014 | Coppafeel

Another month, another Birchbox. I think I'm on month 3 out of my initial 6 month trial period - you can see August 2014's here, but for some ludicrous reason I missed out on posting September?? It's practically the end of October, and hot dang girl, I'm only just getting round to posting this! Better late than never, and don't forget to coppafeel ;)

This month is a little bit different with Birchbox paying homage to Breast Cancer Month indicated subtly by the "Coppafeel" ribbon in the upper corner of the box. Each of my Birchboxes so far have all contained some sort of storage pouch with August having a transparent airline carry on type pouch and September having a shoe bag drawstring kinda thing which is great for storage of items and especially great when travelling. October 2014 Birchbox is no different with the inclusion of the pink zipper bag found here - yay! Another storage purse =)

Upon opening, there was the usual five beauty products plus one lifestyle product. Included in my box were:

This was probably the most disappointing product in the box on the pure basis I had received the Korres citrus little body milk in my October box. Packaged in identical hardwearing tubes I can see myself refilling them up for travelling. The shower gel smells more "manly" than the body milk but not much else to comment here.

This product supposedly speeds up the blow drying process and for a girl who normally air dries her hair, I will definitely be blow drying it a couple of times from now on in the interest of testing this product. Just spritzed this to see what the smell is like but once you get over the overpowering alcohol smell, it smells quite pleasant.

I'm curious about this one. The packaging is rather cool. The product is a strange blue colour. It's made in the USA. And it has a French translation on the bottle? Aimed at treating shaving problems i.e. ingrown hairs and razor bumps, I'm quite excited to test out this cooling gel lotion.

The only full sized product I received in my box (the lipstick pen so does not count). I've heard of the brand Pixi before - believe they have a store down Carnaby Street right? - and their packaging is all pastel and cute. Packed with shea butter and giving a tint to lips when applied, it reminds me of an upper class version of Maybelline Baby Lips - could I be wrong?

A scrub that you can use on both face and body? Ooh, how many products can do that? I've never heard of this brand so would be quite intriguing to test this out.

Perfect for looking a little bit chic on the go and jotting down future blog post ideas =)
