Beauty | Liz Earle Hot Cloth and Polish Cleanser | Review

Let's take a moment to talk about my current favourite cleanser and how much I love it. I've used this day in day out and about to purchase my next bottle. It's none other than award winning Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, and if you haven't tried it already - beg, borrow or steal a bottle.
I heard so much about this product for absolutely forever and a day, but never really had the urge to pick up a bottle. Sure it's won tons of awards but simply put, I was quite happy with my existing cleanser at the time. It was when I stayed the weekend at the boyfriend's sister's place where they had a bottle of this, and needless to say I got quite excited! Perfect time to try it out, and his sister even had a spare muslin cloth I could use. As his sister is a big fan of Liz Earle, she regularly purchases her products through the website and they send samples with her order so by the time I left, I was armed with a fair share of samples ready to use.

With constant use, I could feel the cleansing and refreshing effect of Liz Earle's natural products. I've tried many a hot cloth cleanser from Soap and Glory's to No 7's but this product blows them out of the water. It's full of natural goodness so you know you're not putting any weird or harsh chemicals on your skin and while the smell (it has extracts of eucalyptus, cocoa butter, rosemary and chamomile) personally took me a little while to get used to, once you get over it, you'll never look back.

The concept of a hot cloth cleanser is not a new one and the way to use this product is dispensing some product on your fingers and work it onto dry skin. It has a bit of slip to it so you're not dragging the product harshly over your face - I normally use this time to massage my face and make a bit of pampering routine with it. Grab your muslin cloth and run it under hand hot water, rinse it out and then dab and wipe the product of your face - rinsing and repeating if necessary. Not only will this cleansing routine removes makeup, even waterproof mascara (I've tried and tested this), it's creamy formula will gently dislodge dirt from your pores and dead skin cells revealing a smoother and cleaner skin. Perfect to use on all ages and free from mineral oil, what's not to love?

What I love most about the bottle is the pump feature - it dispenses the exact amount of product you need kissing goodbye to over squirting product or creasing up tubes like a toothpaste to grab the last bit out. And the clever people at Liz Earle have calculated that this is enough for 60 days twice daily use - perfect.

My bottle is nearly finished - I can feel it getting lighter day by day - and to celebrate their 20th Anniversary, Liz Earle has released three different varieties in addition to the original. On offer are Orange Flower & Chamomile, Rose & Lavender and the Grapefruit & Patchouli each designed to either soothe, restore or energise.

I'm torn between the Orange Flower & Chamomile or the Rose & Lavender one. I might just give in and pick up the trio collection instead!
