2015 | A Summary

I think I'm just going to have enough time to squeeze this post in before 2016 hits London, UK so let me speed type this up and summarise what has 2015 meant for my blog and I...
This was the year I felt more invovled with my blog than ever. Granted I only really started blogging on a relatively more regular basis in 2014, 2015 was the year that I consciously thought about my blog. Every time I ate somewhere new, experienced something new and discovered something new, I always made sure my camera was charged, photos were taken and up on the blog whenever possible.

TRAVELLING
I love going travelling, and this year I went out of the country twice which is more than the usual one. Earlier this year, I went to Spain and hashtagged it all over the place with #Spain2015 as I visited Barcelona in 2014 - you can find the relevant posts HERE. This time, I went to Santa Susanna which is a little north from Barcelona in the Costa Brava region and had a fantastic time with the other half. In October, my family and I went on a spontaneous trip to the one and only New York City where we all experienced it for the first time as a family which made it even more special - you can find all those relevant posts HERE.

YOUTUBE
This year was the first time I started making YouTube videos. Again, this is something I dipped my toes in with my first vlog documenting my holiday in #Spain2015 which you can watch HERE. I also did a couple more videos which you can find on my channel and I hope to make some more in 2016 - are there any particular ones you'd like me to film?

BLOGGERS EVENT
Late 2015 I discovered the incredible world of The Bloggers Hangout through twitter and am so glad I signed up. Through them, I went to my first ever event as a blogger - read about it HERE and joined in a recent twitter party. I am constantly discovering new brands that I am fortunate enough to be able to collaborate with - something I never thought I would be able to achieve as a blogger. I always thought it was professional full time bloggers who did collaborations but anything is possible once you set your heart and mind to it! I am looking incredibly forward to 2016 and what this brings - I already know there's a few things coming in the post through these collaborations for 2016 and long may it continue

WHAT I'VE LEARNT
2015 has been a challenging year for me both professionally and personally. There's been a number of occasions where my relationship reached breaking point to the stage where I honestly thought I was about to walk out on it, I reached career lows and nothing seemed to go right for me for a long time. But I have learnt that so long as you keep your head screwed up and you've got mind over matter, everything will truly work out in the end. I'm glad I haven't walked out of my relationship and I'm about to start a new role in the New Year which means more responsibility and all things great will be coming my way.

I'll leave you with a quote I discovered in 2015 which I adore and I hope you appreciate it as much as I do too:

See you in 2016 lovely readers xx
