LUSH Big Blue Bath Bomb

LUSH Big Blue bath bomb packaging

I rarely have baths favouring showers on many an occasion but when I do decide to have a bath, I instantly become a Chandler and will nearly always find myself plopping a LUSH goodie into the waters. My all time favouites include Avobath and Yuzu and Cocoa but I wanted something that was going to be relaxing and let me forget about everything for a while. LUSH Big Blue is apparently LUSH number 1 bath bomb product - how I had not tried it out before I'm not entirely sure so I made a mental note to make sure my next bath included a serving of this.

Big Blue is big. Well, they wouldn't call it Big Blue for no reason I guess. The name reminds me of something like Ronseal would stick on their product - does exactly what it says on the tin. It's big. And it's blue. LUSH, I applaud your ingenuity and imagination.

Anyway, as the tub was half full, I popped this bad blue boy in, and it immediately started whizzing around in reaction to the warm water turning the water into this incredible shade of blue and filling the air with a gorgeous smell. However, as it whizzed, I noticed weird black things in my bath which I thought had dropped from somewhere and tried to fish them out only to realise there were loads more where it was coming from - and that's the actual bath bomb!

Silly me forgot to read up on this and didn't realise there's a whole bunch of 1cm seaweed flakes included in Big Blue. Some may find this really disturbing and yucky but for more, I don't think I gave two hoots once I got over the initial shock. If you look carefully at Big Blue in its dry format, you may be able to see some of the seaweed poking out here and there. The seaweed (kelp) as well as the sea salt ingredients are meant to soften your skin, and to be frank, it did do just that. My skin felt super soft and lovely to touch, and thanks to the inclusion of lavender, I was able to sit back and relax enjoying the experience.

All there was left to do was tie up my hair, slap on a face mask (I went with Montagne Jeunesse/7th Heaven Dead Sea Mud Mask) and forget about everything else.

If you look carefully, you can see the seaweed flakes in the bath and on the bath bomb itself

In other news, I'm LOVING this gradient ombre blue white water =)
Add some Radox muscle soak and you get bluer than blue water plus lots of bubbles!
