Jo Malone White Jasmine and Mint Cologne

If you walk into a shop and the sales staff know you by name, then I think that's a key sign that you go in there way too often. But since it's the Jo Malone store in Covent Garden, I have no problems with that. Out of all the Jo Malone stores, their Covent Garden standalone store is my favourite from their helpful staff and their lovely invites through my letterbox inviting me for one of their hand and arm massages. Well, it would be rude not to...

My most recent hand and arm massage was in November for my birthday, and it gives a great opportunity to test out new fragrances and colognes that you may not have considered before while enjoying being pampered. I decided to choose White Jasmine and Mint as one of my options and for the rest of the afternoon, I couldn't help stop sniffing myself - I smelt that good.

However, at GBP42 for 30ml (and GBP85 for their 100ml), I decided to pick it up at London Gatwick airport en route to Copenhagen for the weekend - hello duty free! - and found myself spritzing it constantly. It's a light fresh scent, kinda one of those that is perfect for Spring and Summer. I think I was taken aback by how different it smells to my all time favourite Jo Malone cologne, Peony and Blush Suede which to me smells a lot more feminine which probably was the main reason why I delayed the purchase of this for so long.

The jasmine is not over powering or in your face - it's quite subtle, similar to smelling jasmine green tea and as for the mint? I struggle to even smell it!

If you're after a light refreshing scent for the upcoming Spring and Summer weather, then I recommend this. There's a sense of class and sophistication with this cologne but I don't think it's for everyone so highly recommend visiting a store to test it out. Give it a chance though, it may grow on you. I know it did with me.
