Shuang Shuang - Soho, London

What do you get when you cross Yo! Sushi with the Chinese family feast of the classic hot pot? Well, the answer is Shuang Shuang - a restaurant in Chinatown, London that has been about since August 2015. Grab your ladles and your chopsticks - you're in for a whole new dining experience.

I'm Off To.. Budapest and Milan!

It's not long until I go travelling again! I don't actually fly off until May, but still...!

While I normally go travelling for a week, and typically to only one destination (see: #Spain2015 and Barcelona posts), this time I changed it up a little and booked two European destinations in one week. My itinerary looks like London > Budapest > Milan > London and I am super excited about this!

Kova Patisserie - Soho, London

I'm a foodie. A massive one - and there's not much I don't like. In fact, there's a lot I absolutely love. I do love a good cup of black tea, rose flavoured food, macaroons, unusual pairings and green tea. So when I hear there's a cafe that's opened up in Soho, London offering matcha cakes, I made a beeline to it.

Enter Kova Patisserie.

Burger and Lobster - Soho, London

I'm attempting to eat my way through Time Out's Top 100 London restaurants, but it's proving to be an expensive affair, especially when restaurants such as Burger & Lobster (B&L) feature. Yes you can dine at B&L at a relative affordable price, but when they have jumbo lobsters weighing in at 2kg plus, I had to convince my family (mainly the parents..) to come along too.

Franco Manca - Canary Wharf, London

Franco Manca has opened a branch in Canary Wharf, and one Wednesday lunchtime, a friend and I decided to try it out. Mainly for the free drink coupon they were giving out but also because it's pizza.

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017

So I started typing up this post yesterday on New Year's Eve, but procrastination took over and it's now become my first post of 2017. When I reflect back on 2016, it is one of those years where you look back in disbelief with all the events that happened, starting with David Bowie and Alan Rickman, ending with George Michael and Debbie Reynolds with a huge dosing of Trump in the middle. But let's not focus on the world's events as shoddy as they've been because while I've been quiet on the blog front, a few amazing things have been happening to me. So sit back with a glass of champers, kick your feet up and welcome to my roundup of 2016.
